- You no longer need a password to access the Lexis-Nexis database from your UC.EDU desktop!
-
EEVL: the Edinburgh Engineering Virtual Library
was featured in the December 1997 issue of the ASEE Engineering Libraries
Newsletter. This database provides access to engineering resources in the
UK. It includes a search engine for over 32,000 UK engineering web pages,
a liquid crystal database, a jet impingement database and a list of
research projects. You might want to have a look.
- Institute of Physics,PhysicsWeb, The Web site for
Physicists, is FREE until April 6, 1998. It includes patent news, book
reviews and a list of online resources.
- Check out the LIBRARY WORKSHOPS being offered Winter Quarter.
I am happy to come to
faculty offices to help you get started using the REVEAL table-of-contents
service or any of the other online databases! If time permits, I am also

- NOTE: To view these three journals you will first need to download the REAL PAGE viewer which is available from this webpage. You will then be linked to the Institution of Chemical Engineers titles from this webpage. Your REAL PAGE viewer also gives you permanent access to all the other titles listed on this webpage that are NOT starred, e.g., Journal of Materials Chemistry, Interntional Journal of Control, Journal of Network and Systems Management, etc.
- Please note that you can get INSPEC, the principle database for physics, electronics and computing, on your DESKTOP through the Public Library of Cincinnati.
- telnet://plch.lib.uc.edu
- choose:

- Also in March the Engineering Library has the cd-rom index CHEMICAL ENGINEERING AND BIOTECHNOLOGY ABSTRACTS (CEABA) for a one month trial. You will need to come to the library to try it. Send your comments to Jim Clasper.
January 1997:
- ENGINEERING INFORMATION VILLAGE (http://www.ei.org) is available for you to evaluate. You can email me (lucy.wilson@uc.edu) for the username and password.
